Train Like an Olympian With Shawn Johnson and Husband Andrew East

Gymnastics fans, rejoice! LIVESTRONG.COM caught up with Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson and her husband Andrew East as part of our Everyday Health Heroes workout sponsored by Del Monte.

After discussing her secrets to success with LIVESTRONG.COM VP and GM Jess Barron and an exclusive group of lifestyle influencers, the athlete and host of CNBC’s “Adventure Capitalists” geared up for an outdoor group workout in Malibu, California.

The crew started off with a 10-minute warmup, then they jumped into a 20-minute solo cardio circuit followed shortly after by 10 minutes of partner work. Johnson and East paired up for this HIIT workout — and they’re big supporters of working out with a significant other in general.

“I do Barry’s Bootcamp, SoulCycle, a new CrossFit workout that my husband’s obsessed with,” Johnson said during the event. “We go on hikes, we run — I try to do a little bit of everything.”

Prop open a mat, grab your partner and try out the Olympian-led workout from the comfort of your own home. Here is the entire routine:

Stationary marching dynamic warmup: 10 minutes

Solo workout: 20 minutes (cardio circuits)

Repeat each one three times:
-8 jumping jacks
-8 air squats
-1 eight-count squat hold

-8 hopscotch jumps
-8 alternating two-count pulsing front lunges
-8 alternating curtsy squats

One time through:
-Inchworm Exercise: walk out with 10 mountain climbers, walk back up (learn how to do the inchworm correctly here)
-Inchworm Exercise: walk out with 8 mountain climbers, walk back up
-Inchworm Exercise: walk out with 6 mountain climbers, walk back up
-Inchworm Exercise: walk out with 4 mountain climbers, walk back up
-Inchworm Exercise: walk out with 2 mountain climbers and a one-minute plank hold, walk back up

Partner workout: 10 minutes

One time through:
-20 partner burpees
-20 partner squats (facing forward, alternating arms)
-20 partner backward squats
-20 partner planks
-20 partner sit-up high fives

Cooldown stretch: 5 minutes
