How to Have Fat Cheeks
Full, rounded cheeks can signify youth. But as the aging process takes place, elasticity in your face muscles is reduced, possibly causing sagging or drooping. Similar to exercising your biceps, hamstrings or other muscles on your body, the muscles on your face respond to exercise. Regularly performing facial exercises may help to plump and firm your cheeks.
Puff Like Louis Armstrong
To plump and firm the cheeks, perform the Satchmo, named for Louis Armstrong. Take in a big breath and tightly close your lips as you puff up your cheeks, in a pose similar to that of a horn player. Hold the air in for five seconds and release. Repeat 10 times.
Smile, Like a Fish
Facial exercises can be reminiscent of the funny faces made by kids, such as fish face, which can help with the elasticity around your cheeks. Pucker your lips into a fish face and then smile while holding the lips in place. Hold for five seconds and release. Repeat 10 times.
Resistance can help to activate the muscles on your face as it does on your body. Press an index finger lightly into each cheek for resistance; smile as you open your mouth and drop your chin down. Hold for one count and release; repeat 20 times.
Consult with a physician regarding any facial skin or firming issues that you may be experiencing.
