How to Replace the Batteries in a Crest Spinbrush

Crest Spinbrushes come in a few distinct styles that allow people to clean their teeth with a spinning action that will buffer away plaque and stains. There are six types: ProClean, ProWhitening, ProSelect, Kids, Slim and ProRecharge. If the batteries lose their charge, the Spinbrush becomes just a regular toothbrush and the user won't get the benefit of the spinning action that is the toothbrush's calling card. The batteries aren't difficult to replace, though. You just have to be gentle when removing the battery cover so you don't break the Spinbrush.

Pro Clean, Pro Whitening and Pro Select Spinbrushes

Hold the brush head in one hand.

Hold the brush handle in the other hand.

Twist both sides in opposite directions and pull off the bottom end, which contains the batteries.

Remove the old batteries and insert the new ones.

Replace the bottom part of the handle by pushing and twisting in the opposite direction from the way you removed it.

Kids and Slim Spinbrushes

Use an eyeglass screwdriver to remove the screw from the battery compartment (for the Kids Spinbrush).

Hold the brush head for leverage.

Twist the brush handle and pull it down to remove the battery cover.

Take out the old batteries and insert the new ones.

Replace the battery cover and the screw.

Warnings

If you have a Crest ProRecharge Spinbrush, changing the battery is impossible. You can, however, recharge the battery if the Spinbrush should ever stop working.
