ProForm 600 Elliptical Review
The ProForm SpaceSaver 600 elliptical trainer has an unusual folding design that reduces its footprint by nearly three feet when not in use. It also comes with an impressive array of features, given its $600 retail price as of August, 2010. AllEllipticals.com recommends the SpaceSaver 600 as “good for light to moderate use.”
The ProForm SpaceSaver 600 has 12 levels of push-button adjustable magnetic resistance. It also comes with six pre-programmed cross training workouts that adjust resistance automatically and prompt you to do strength-training exercises.
The rear-drive SpaceSaver 600 has an adjustable stride length with three possible settings: 13 inches, 15 inches and 18 inches. Its footprint, when fully deployed, measures 68 inches long by 27 inches wide. Its maximum user weight limit is 275 lbs.
Notable features include a built-in cooling fan, a target pacer that prompts you to work out harder or back off for the best results, and an MP3 player-compatible music port with built-in speakers. The SpaceSaver 600 also has a built-in handgrip heart rate monitor.
